we 2nd March Year 1

Hi All,

In English for the next three weeks we will be completing a unit on Recounts. For the next two weeks we are going to be writing a recount about something that is happening on Monday. Watch this space! Please ask your child what happened at school today? See if they can ‘recount’ it to you accurately, this will really help with their writing.

In maths we will be continuing our work on addition. We will be trying to be quicker and more confident with our number bonds to 20.

The children have used ictgames and Topmarks addition games – if you get a chance to access them at home, they’re free and the children really enjoyed the chance to consolidate their addition skills on these games.

In the afternoons the children will be continuing their work on megastructures and seasonal changes.
