Y3 Looking Back and Forth 131219

Friday 13th December 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

This week has been an exciting one as we have been putting the finishing touches to our class performance for the Christmas Carol Service. Everyone looked wonderful in their costumes this morning and the children’s enjoyment was clear to see. We have worked very hard and have tried our best with our assessments too throughout this week and so we will be ready to progress next term. We have almost completed our History topic today, have learned more about amber and have finished our computing work.

Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • I enjoyed practicing our Christmas Carol Service songs
  • It was great to film our dance performances
  • Finishing our work on Lady Mary
  • The Christmas Shop
  • Triple jump in PE
  • I’ve even enjoyed our assessments
  • Accelerated Reader challenge was fun
  • Christmas Jumper Day
  • Our Advent Calendars (and chocolate)
  • Fish n Chips lunch
  • Playing with friends
  • Being with Mrs Sant
  • Once again – everything!

Family discussion questions:

Ask your children…

How is Amber formed?

What did Lady Mary pioneer?

What does digit mean?

Looking forward:

Next week, we will be enjoying our final week before the holiday season begins by rehearsing for our Christmas Carol Service and performing for the congregation. We will also be taking part in a History Quiz which we will design ourselves, recalling our Geographical knowledge of the Uk and publishing our final letters.

Thank you once again for the fantastic costumes, to Mrs Benson for all of her hard work putting the songs together and just to confirm, there will be no homework for next week.

Happy weekend,

Mrs Sant
