Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 11th May 2018

Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 11th May 2018

Our Year 6 pupils have worked exceptionally hard this week in all areas of the curriculum.  They have completed their preparations in time for next week's assessments and they have been calm, level-headed and dedicated in approaching their revision and for this - we are very proud of them. Thank you too, to our Year 6 families, for supporting the pupils and helping to keep them focused and calm throughout the process.

They have continued to work with Mrs. Cowell and Mrs. Benson towards other curriculum areas, working on their writing and research about The Titanic and working on musical compositions too.

Next week, they will tackle their national assessments to the very best of their ability.  The timetable for the tests is listed below.  We encourage the pupils to bring in a few extra items: a drink to see them through the tests; a lucky charm/memento; and a snack.  On Monday and Wednesday, the pupils have two tests and we would suggest that they bring in a healthy snack to give them an energy boost (a banana or breakfast bar).  Their drinks could be juice or smoothies - nothing fizzy - and should be in securely fastening bottles.  We don't want them to finish a test, only to have a juice-accident!!!  Oh no!

We know that they are really prepared and that the format of the tests is nothing new to them.  Everyone who is associated with Goostrey wishes them the very "BEST OF LUCK" for 2018.
