Reception class weekly update Friday 24th November 23

This week we have heard the story of Thanksgiving and learnt how the Pilgrims travelled to America. We made Pumpkin pie in class on Thursday and everyone tried a bit. 

Thank you for attending the parents evening this week. 

I asked the children their thoughts on the week: 

The whole class played phonics games on Phonicsplay (Friday monring)

We painted our Father Christmas (which will go up on display in the class)

We made footprints for our Christmas cards (on Wednesday wit Mrs Hughes and Mrs Weeks)

We rode on the bikes

We learnt, igh, oa, ai, ee and the tricky word: was

We did our numbers (addtion)

We made pumpkin pie and we all tried it and some had second helpings

Some of the children dug in the mud and found worms and bulbs

Lots of children helped to collect the many leaves on our playground

Some children built a zoo using the blocks on the carpet.

Many children coloured in cards for Thanksgiving
