Reception weekly update week ending 24th May 2023

Hello all

No buddy time again today due to the rain but they have had the opportunity to see their buddies on the field at lunchtimes this week.

This week they have been writing their descriptions or stories about their extraordinary gardens. They are doing so well and trying so hard and applying the phonics learnt. 

We did a bit of gardening on Thursday which was basically me weeding and them digging for fossils and mini beasts. Regardless they had a great time.

In maths we are perfecting counting backwards from 20. 

Next week we are looking at different houses and part of our walk on Wednesday is to visit a bungalow.

All the children need a stamp for their letter please. Could you please send in £1 to cover the cost and if you are happy I will add the change to the Reception class cake sale money coming up next term.
