Reception weekly update week ending 9th February 2024

Hello all

Is it me getting older or is the year flying past! We are halfway through the school year.

I hope you got my email about the grandparents tea party on the 27th of March at 2:15pm? I will send over more information but just for now I need the names of those attending (one year I had 8 grandparents with one child) so please invite them all. For now I need glass jam jars (lables preferably soaked off) which we will decorate to use as vases. Please send these in anytime from now.

So back to this week's activities.

The children have learnt about their sense of smell and we had a range of different smells for them to experince and they then recorded which they liked and didn't like. This created a lot of chat, face pulling and laughter. They did feet and hand printing in preperation for an upcoming project. In music we enjoyed a few of George Ezras songs and danced and accompanied this with many different instruments. They are getting great at get the beat on time. In RE we heard the story of Zacchaeus and they may have told you the story using the tree and Zaccheaus on a string. Check their bags.

Have a great weekend
