we 17th March St Patrick's day - Year 1

Hi All,

Monday of course will be our exciting trip to Alma Park in Levenshulme. Don’t forget to bring a book.

In English we will be starting a new topic on SUPERHEROES.

Traction Man – he’s our man – if he can’t do it no one can!!!

In maths we whizzed through odd and even numbers last week – the children were so much more confident with it, thank you parents for working on those with us. This week, the children will be starting a new topic on Number, addition and subtraction. They will be using their numbers to 100, so any opportunities to counting or write numbers to 100 would be great!

In the afternoons the children will have Religious Education, Science and topic work. Don’t forget on Thursday there is ‘the great building project’ – thank you for all the parents who have volunteered to help. There will also be P.E. lessons and Show and Tell Friday!

Our highlights of the week:

  • Listening to the winners of the ECO rap.
  • Spelling test and handwriting
  • Playing on the astro turf
  • Playing running races with my friends
  • Making my dinosaur book
  • Creating my bookmark with Mrs Saxton for Alma Park
  • Watching the christening of Zachary’s sister it was cool!
  • All the dinosaur work
