Year 4 we 12th January 2018

What a great end to the first week back!  We all had a super time at Manchester Museum where we learnt about Ancient Egypt and had the opportunity to look at lots of other interesting exhibits as well.  Mrs Goodwin informs me that we walked over 4,500 steps (most of those on stairs) so no wonder we all felt a bit tired when we got back.  The children were well-behaved and enjoyed the activities, especially looking at the reptiles.  Very many thanks to Mrs Goodwin, Mrs Howarth, Mrs Davies, Mrs Jones and Ms Bairstow who all gave up their time to accompany us.  We could not do these trips without help from willing adults. I've put some photos on our class page for you to look at!

Next week we will begin a narrative unit in English and we will be looking at fractions in maths. We will be investigating States of Matter in Science and Jesus at Easter in RE.  PE will be on Wednesday afternoon when we will be learning how to play Hi-5 (primary netball) - there is a tournament in March which I will be inviting year 4 pupils to take part in.  Needless to say, there will also be numerous other learning opportunities too!

One of my favourite days of the year next Friday - Year 4 CAKE SALE! I contribute a great deal by buying the cakes you make and eating them...

Have a great weekend and a good week next week.

Mrs Cooper
