Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 23rd November 2018

Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 23rd November 2018

Another week has gone by and we've been busy as usual.  We have completed our news reports based upon "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes.  Next week, we start a monstrous text......wait and see what that might be!  Maths has seen us working to practise our knowledge of 2D shapes, co-ordinates and reflection.  The pupils have also enjoyed working on World Geography and in ICT, they have been looking at spreadsheets.  Later in the week, there was an opportunity to improve the pupils' knowledge of Hinduism, followed by much frivolity with electrical circuits, buzzers and bulbs.

Thank you to our families for two very successful parents' evenings.  This was a great opportunity to meet with families and to discuss how the class has settled into life in Year 6.  We'll see you all again in March.

Once again, if we could remind families that the school is supporting both the Toy Appeal and the Christmas Shoe Boxes.  If you would like to support either of these charities, there are further details in the school newsletter.  Thank you.

The pupils are getting to grips with a lot of very tricky grammatical terms in Year 6. If you could ask them about these, it might help them to remember some of the details!

Thank you, once again, for your continued support.
