Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 2nd March 2018

Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 2nd March 2018

Welcome back to the second half term of the Spring - it's been chilly outside, but plenty going on in class to keep our Year 6 warm.

This week they've enjoyed carrying on with our Rooftoppers novel and on Tuesday we thought about what made a "wild child".  No, it wasn't the windy weather, but it remains to be seen if our protagonist Sophie is bring raised as a wild child or not.  Our texts are discussing this at present.

Maths has seen us securing the often feared "long division" method but we think we've cracked that now.  In additon, we're beginning to revise our use of co-ordinates.  The afternoon sessions have seen the pupils working on electrical circuts then looking at fact files for different countries.  Mrs Benson has also been working on asking the pupils to explain hat designs over the years, and how these have changed.

As a heads up, we are beginning our formal revision with pupils bringing home their new CGP work books to practise their maths and grammar skills.  Please click on the link under the homework tab for further details about what has been set, and when it is due for handing in.

Kind regards

The Year 6 Team
