Roman gods and goddesses homework Year 3

Here is some information about the Roman gods and goddesses homework. that is due for after half term.

Year 3 have been given a task booklet to complete over half term. It was handed out to the children on the week beginning the 30th January and is due in by Thursday 2nd March. The instructions on are on the booklet, along with some handy resources to help. The tasks are:

1. Use the table on the pages to name as many Roman gods and goddesses as possible, along with a small description of what they are the god or goddess of. E.g. Neptune - Roman god of the seas.

2. Choose your favourite god or goddess from task 1 and complete the character profile on the pages to tell the reader more about them.

3. Find a story where your favourite god or goddess in a main character. Re-tell the story in comic book form.

4. Write your own short story with your god or goddess. Use either the lines provided or do another comic book strip. Remember that they may want to use their special gift to save Rome.

5. Use the squares given on the back mage to make a mosaic design for your god or goddess. We will be making these designs in class in the new half term.

I have asked all children if they require a new booklet and given them out to those who have asked. I do still have spares if anyone needs a new one. If there are any questions, please feel free to e-mail me or pop in after school to talk to me. This should be a fun activity, using the internet and books to help. The websites on the fromt page have some really good information that the children can use to acomplete most of the booklet - the rest is their imagination!

Thank you,

Miss Aspey
