week ending 3rd February

Year 2 have been very busy this week.

We have written our final version of the adventure story Poles Apart. The children have great imaginations!

The story has also inspired our music lesson, looking at music themes from around the world.

In maths, we have continued to look at fractions and also at reading time on an analogue clock.

As part of our Homes topic the children have been finding similarities and differences between houses lived in by rich and poor Tudors.

In Science, we have designed and begun an experiment into seed germination. What is the most important factor in how well a plant will grow? The children have made a prediction, planted several seeds and now we must wait to find out.

Keep up the good work Year 2. Thank you for your continuing support at home.
