Year 3 Looking Back and Forth 17th October 2025

Thursday 17th  October 2025 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

What a hard-working week this has been – thank you so much to every child in Year 3 for giving more effort to help them prepare for the exhibition. They certainly know how it feels to experience ‘you only get out what you put in’ and for this, they should be extremely proud of themselves as I am of them. It always amazes me what children of just seven and the odd eight-year-old can produce when they are part of something as wonderful as our Goostrey Exhibition. Also, I would like to thank the children for working hard to learn this year’s song to celebrate ‘A Good Book’! We have been busy writing poetry, painting stories, building Design and Technology models, designing t-shirts, researching facts and presenting it all the best way we know how.

Well done Class 3 for being fab-u-lous!!!

Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • Rehearsing our song
  • Painting our story pictures
  • Tag Rugby
  • Working with Mrs Goldsmith
  • Attaching our wings, tails and beaks to our models

Family discussion questions:

Ask your children…

  • What have you enjoyed most about this year’s exhibition work?
  • How do you marble paint?
  • Challenge Question: How do you describe fruit in French?

Looking forward:

This week, we will be very excited to see our exhibition for the first time and to perform for our families and friends. We will also be completing our Egyptian stories, doing more Tag Rugby, enjoying reading and sharing new Tales From Africa, continuing to add and subtract in Maths, and lots more.

Please do join us if you can for this year’s exhibition – 2pm to 6pm Wednesday and Thursday and we will be singing at 5pm each of those days!
