Year 4 we 10th November

That week flew by!  Half term already seems like a long time ago.  It was nice to welcome our new boy, Ted, who has fitted in really well.

We did some interesting research about Marco Polo which we have used in our biography work - this will continue in English for the next couple of weeks and we will also look at other explorers as part of our history topic.  The children made lots of progress with multiplying and dividing numbers by 10 and 100 to give decimal answers but next week we will be looking at standard written methods for subtraction.  We had an interesting lesson about the dangers of electricity so all the children are very clear on how to stay safe with regard to mains power.  Swimming was very popluar as usual and this will continue until the day before we break up.  After Christmas we return to 'normal' PE lessons twice a week.

I am looking forward to seeing you on Thursday if you would like to look at your children's books which will be available in the classroom until 5pm.

Have a great weekend and enjoy next week!
