Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 7th September 2018

Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 7th September 2018

A very warm welcome to our new Year 6 class and their families - we hope you've all enjoyed a lovely summer break and are ready and raring to go into the new Autumn 2018 term.

We have really enjoyed getting to know our new class and they have responded brilliantly.

Mrs. Timmins has been working with them to find out about their English and maths skills in the mornings, whilst Mrs. Cooper has introduced our theme of "Peace" for the Exhibition 2018, with a focus on World War I and the peace that followed.  We are all looking forward to working on this project and we'll be excited to show our families just what we have done at the end of this half term.

This news page will be updated each Friday evening with news and events from the week gone by.  We shall also pop any questions you might like to ask you children about what they've been up to in class.  Reminders about items and events for the forthcoming week will also be displayed.  Please do remember to visit this page for the most current up-to-date information.  We are hoping that the pupils will be writing the weekly reviews soon, so this will give them a real audience to write for - practising their English skills in the process too.

A reminder that the Head's Holiday Photo is due back during the first week of the term.  Dream Catchers are due in from the week of 8th October (as we struggle for storage space in Year 6 - thank you).

Finally, a huge "well done" to our new Year 6 who have settled in so well.  One pupil has commented "This week, I have learned that Year 6 is really nice".  We look forward to working with you during the 2018-2019 year.
