27th September Looking Back and Forth in Year 3

Friday 27th September 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

We have very much enjoyed our time together this week and of course, we have had our first school trip as Year Threes! We have found out much more about French speaking and listening, continued to develop our knowledge of inventors, have loved writing a diary entry for the ‘regular girl’ and have enjoyed our first Music lesson.

Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • The absolute highlight of the week was our visit to the Museum of Science and Industry and in particular, the Experiment Room and Space School…we never knew and neither did Mrs Sant, that you could have red and purple fire!!! Lifting the Mini car was also brilliant!

  • We really enjoyed our French lesson again with Mrs Saxton and Mrs Jones.

  • It was great to have our first Music lesson with Mrs Sant – we loved it!

Family discussion questions:

Ask your children…

  • How do astronauts go to the bathroom in space?
  • What three things to I need to do to improve my singing?
  • How do you say September in French?

Looking forward:

Next week, we have another exciting week as we welcome a Team GB athlete into school to talk to us and run a session with our class and a professional artist to work with us – all about sculpture. We will also be having our first Computing lesson with Mrs Sant and Mrs Cooper and of course, continuing with our Music learning.

We also have a special ‘thing’ arriving in school for us to begin working on so there’s everything to look forward to.
