Reception class news week ending 13th February

This week the children learnt more about the body and looked at some internal organs and how they function. We talked about what the body needs to be healthy too. They all labled a picture of a body and some labled the organs too. Lots of discussion and new words explored. In maths we worked on subtraction. The children are making lovely progress in phonics and I hope you have seen the new sounds and words in their pots. In art they drew insects for their art books. In PE on Friday the children mastered the Macarena moves. 

Next half term the children will do tennis skills in PE, our theme is All Around Me so we will be learning more about our school community, Goostrey and different homes. We will visit St Luke's church and walk to the post office.
