Reception class update week ending 25th September

Hello all

This week has seen us making bees for the exhibition - which I have renamed as a show for the children to understand. The bees will be busy around the hive, that our lovely caretaker Mr Kennerley has made for us, and we are going to clad and roof it this week. 

The children did a sequencing activity around the story. It was a good to time have a chat about the story in more depth with them sharing their ideas and knowledge about the different aspects. 

We have started the baseling this week and some of them that have done the literacy section may have come home to say they had played a a few games on the ipad. The baeslining will be ongoing all week.

Class social:

The class social is hopefully in your calendar. At a small cost I will sort the children's food and this includes for all siblings who will join us. I plan tp send out a survey via Spider App to confirm numbers. You can also email me if this is easier. All we ask is for parents to bring some snacks for the adults to share on the evening. We host the social in the classroom playground.

Forest school:

Tomorrow, Monday 28th September, it is forest school afternoon with their Year 6 buddies. Children do not need to wear their school uniform tomorrow. Please make sure they have their coats and bring with them either wellington boots or outside shoes. We will get them changed for the afternoon's activity.
