Reception class weekly update week ending 20th June

Hello all

This week we have continued to learn all about travel and this week we looked at water transport. They came up with some great ideas and after a long discussion about cruise ships we feel a holiday on one would be a great idea. They continue to love the planet songs and hopefully the songs will return to their minds when trying to remember the order of the planets from the sun. 

The writing this week was based around a book called The Storm Whale about a boy who lives with his dad on an island. We focused on the friendship side of the story and how we can be a good friend. They had lovely ideas and they wrote some down in their books. In maths we looked at position and distance.

I have hopefully topped up all the word pots this week. A few pots were missing so please send them in next week. 

There has been a lot of water play and we have cooled off under the trees in our play area.
