Reception weekly update Friday 14th November
Hello
What a wet day but we did get out as we try not to let the bad weather hold us back.
This week we learnt about Divali (the festival of light in the Hindu religion) and I told them the story of Rama and Sita. The children also made clay lamps (divas) which they will decorate next week.
We have started to learn the words to the songs for the nativity. Here is some information about the nativity: There are two performances and each family will get two tickets for each performance. The nativity is at 9:30 am on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th December. Please keep your tickets safe as you will need them to enter the village hall. The children will need a christmas t-shirt and shorts or leggings for the performance. They will be seated on the stage throughout and it gets very warm up there so jumpers are not recommended. The performance should be no longer than 40 minutes.
We managed to have buddy time today despite the rain and it is always lovely to see them together. This week I took half the class to the Year 6 classroom and half stayed in Reception with their buddies.
I hope you all have a good weekend.
