we 4th May Year 1

Hi All,

In English time this week we will be publishing our speaking fruit stories.

We will then be starting a unit on funny poems.

If you would like to support your children at home – you could look at stories or poems with rhymes.

You could discuss where the rhyming words are and try to predict the next in the series.

In maths we will be continuing our work on place value with numbers to 100. We will be looking at the <>= symbols and using them in problems using numbers up to 100.

If you would like to support your child with their maths work. You could keep practising counting in 10s, 5s and 2s.

In the afternoons the children will be looking at Judaism in R.E. on Monday. The children will be continuing to work on seasonal portraits. In science the children will be exploring the world of plants.
