Y1 Friday 20th June 2025– Looking Back & Forth
Looking back:
In English, we have continued to use the book ‘The Secret of Black Rock’ to inspire our work. We have looked at how speech tells us more information and read my model story as a group and answered questions about it.
In Maths, we have continued our place value within 100 unit- counting in tens and partitioning numbers.
In Geography, we have explored our school grounds and written a letter to our twin school Elizabethfontein to tell them about our school. We have learnt why a key on a map is useful and completed it to show the features of our school grounds on an aerial view map.
In D&T, we have designed an African themed T-Shirt ready for printing and weaved patterns with ribbons.
