Y2 Looking Back and Forth 12th May

Friday 12th May 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

This week Year 2 have been busy showing me what they have learned this year in maths and reading lessons. Well done to them all. We have also been exploring our text The Bear and the Piano, ready to write their own versions. In history the children have learned about Florence Nightingale and why she is still so well known today. We have been watching the caterpillars grow and made a diary to show how they are changing. In PE the children played cricket.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • Caterpillars
  • Purple Mash
  • Finding out which bean seed germinated
  • The Bear and the Piano
  • RE

Family discussion/questions:

Can you tell your parents about your caterpillar?

Which seed germinated?

Looking forward:

  • Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
