Y2 Looking Back and Forward 3rd March

Friday 3rd March 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

Well done Year 2! It has been a good week. In English we have been exploring a new text and writing sentences using powerful verbs. Phonics focused on apostrophes for contraction e.g. I’m. In maths we have looked a measure – time, length and money. We also practised arithmetic skills learned so far in Year 2. In Science, with Mrs Saxton, the children began a new topic called Our Environment. They began to explore the differences between living, non-living and things that have never been alive. In reading we practised the skills needed to answer comprehension questions. The children began learning hockey skills in PE.
