Y3 Looking Back and Forth 12/11/21

Friday 12th  November 2021 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

We have really enjoyed developing our singing this week in Class 3 as we work towards our Christmas Magical Carols evening. We have completed our research and extended writing about early human life in Africa, worked hard to build on our gymnastic skills using the equipment in the hall, tried to use our addition and subtraction skills to challenge ourselves in maths, alongside arithmetic, times tables, spelling test, reading and guided reading, have enjoyed our Remembrance Day book all about Ben and his best friend Ray, sharing our wonderful inspirational person of the week Mr Harry Billinge and much more. Mr Billinge – Class Three salute you.

Well done Class 3 for being won-der-ful!!!

This week, we will be continuing to work on the laptops to compare Elizabethfontein and Goostrey and their surrounding areas, exploring the final Bible story ~ The Lost Sheep, researching why Egypt was so important to the development of Africa and the World, continuing with addition and subtraction in maths, planning for and beginning to write our own return story in English, developing our gymnastic skills more in PE, singing to our hearts content in Music, getting stuck in to our Forces topic in Science and continuing with our computing piece in Geography.

Just a quick reminder that the final collection of all Christmas hamper items will be on Monday 15th November ~ Thanks to all those who have already donated ~ much appreciated.

Thank you again for a wonderful week and I hope that you all have a lovely weekend,
