Y3 w.e 7.6.19 Looking Back & Forth

Friday 7th June 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 3

Looking back:

In English we have enjoyed learning about play scripts and writing our own play script versions of Little Red Riding Hood.  In our continued maths learning we compared and measured volumes as well as read scales on containers.

Year 3 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • I enjoyed planning my platscripts, I love writing and it is really fun.
  • Swimming this week was really fun, we got to swim through hoops and get bricks from the bottom of the pool!
  • Starting our new topic of Medicine across time looks really exciting.
  • I liked our French, learning about colours and the film clips.

Family discussion questions:

  • Can you tell me at least 5 things you would see in a playscript?
  • How is a playscript version of a story different to a fiction version?
  • True or false? 1000ml = 1Litre
  • Explain why …. 1.5L is the same or different to 150ml

Looking forward:
Next Week we will be undertaking a selection of tests, assessing pupil progress.  We will also be continuing our work on Medicine and Healthcare as well as converting amounts of liquids ml è L and visa versa and perfecting and beginning to act out plays!
