Y4 Looking Back and Forth - 19th June 2026

🔙 Looking Back – This Week in Year 4

This week, the children have been working hard on their understanding of decimals, exploring what happens when 1- and 2-digit numbers are divided by 10 and 100.

The class also enjoyed a special ‘Move Up’ Morning, spending time with Mr Campion as they began preparing for the exciting transition to Year 5. This year, we tried something a little different by spending the entire morning with the new teacher, and it proved to be very popular with the children.

🏆 Children’s Highlights

  • Playing with friends
  • Exploring the otter poem from The Lost Words and watching videos of otters
  • Sewing in the afternoon with Mrs B
  • P.E. – practising the dance we will perform for our South African visitors
  • Playing on the field
  • Learning about decimals
  • Spending the morning with Mr Campion
