Y4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 1st May
🔙 Looking Back – This Week in Year 4
What a glorious sunny week it has been! The class have worked incredibly hard creating poetry using similes and metaphors, inspired by the witch in our class text, The Lost Happy Endings—a superb book with rich character descriptions.
The children have also been exploring how to use speech in their writing. They channelled their inner thespians to recreate funny scenarios as well as scenes from the story.
In maths, we have continued our work on fractions, focusing on improper fractions and mixed numbers. Today, we began learning about equivalent fractions and found our times tables knowledge especially helpful!
