Y5 8.11.19 Looking Back and Forth
Friday 8th November 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 5
Looking back:
The children have had a great week back after the half-term break. They have started a writing topic based on the book ‘The Watertower’. They have also been multiplying two 2-digit numbers together in maths. They found this tricky at first but showed a great attitude and got it by the end of the week.
Year 5 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- We are really enjoyed working on Times-Tables Rock Stars!
- We are enjoying the Christmas music we are learning in Wider Opportunities.
- We have liked doing challenging maths this week.
Family discussion questions:
- Ask your child about Times-Tables Rockstars – this is something they can use at home.
- Ask your child to tell you what they have learned about the life of an ancient Greek child.
Looking forward:
We will be writing some reflective Remembrance Day poems on Monday. On Friday we have a well-being and mindfulness afternoon for the whole school.
Don’t forget Parents’ Evening on Wednesday or Thursday.
