Y5 Weekly Update 19.12.25

Friday 19th December 2025 – Y5 Weekly Update

Looking back:

Thank you so much for my lovely gifts and cards - I am very grateful and really appreciate it. I hope the children have a really lovely, festive break!

It’s been a great last week of term in Year 5. We have seen the infant nativity and had our own, junior Christmas Services to focus on. In between times we have been tying up a few loose ends and finishing off some work!

Year 5 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • We loved the Christmas services and singing Joy to the World at the end!
  • The infant nativity was brilliant!

Family discussion questions:

  • Ask the children how they are doing in their Arithmetic lessons – some incredible progress here!
  • Ask the children what they enjoyed about the week.

Looking forward:

Next half term, we have some really interesting topics to cover. In history, we switch our attention to a topic on WWII. In RE, we look at Islam and in Science we move on to a unit of work about materials. Our English work focuses on a very famous detective, and our maths work returns to fractions!

Have a lovely holiday!
