Year 2 15th November Looking Back and Forth

Friday 15th November 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

We have been busy as usual in Year 2! The children have begun writing their own adventure story about a lost penguin – lots of exciting things have happened on the way back to the penguin’s house. In maths the children learned how to subtract on a number line and used their knowledge to problem solve. We have now given all the children their script for the Nativity play and we will start to practise next week. The children have learned many of the songs. A costume list was emailed to all parents too.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • Investigating the changing season in Science.
  • Writing my adventure story
  • Nativity songs
  • Wellbeing afternoon

Family discussion questions:

  • Why do some trees lose their leaves?

Looking forward:

  1. Finish stories about a penguin adventure
  2. PE sessions on Tuesday and Friday– ball skills and dance
  3. Geography
  4. Maths – multiplication
  5. Nativity songs and acting
