Year 2 25th October Looking Back and Forth

Friday 25th October 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

It has a wonderful week. The children have enjoyed our Inventions Exhibition and were proud to show off their learning about Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Marie Curie. I hope you enjoyed looking around the Exhibition and looked at Year 2’s writing, artwork, sculpture, design technology and sewing. Every class produced such amazing work – it was a fantastic experience. I hope you all enjoy a restful half term. School returns on Monday 4th November.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • Seeing the Exhibition for the first time
  • Performing our poem about Florence Nightingale
  • The visit from the farrier
  • The drone!

Homework in Year 2

Please listen to your child read for 15 minutes each day and talk about what they have read. Can they tell you what happened? Do they understand the meaning of new words? What was their favourite part? Please use the bookmarks we sent home this week to help you.
