Year 2 3rd May Looking Back and Forth

Friday 3rd May 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

It’s been a busy week and Year 2 had lots of fun learning again. We have looked at fractions of shape and number in maths and used our prior knowledge to solve problems. We had our first times tables test since the Easter break. In English we have finished our Freaky Week poetry with great success and also practised being careful readers when answering questions about a book. In Science they children looked at how exercise is important to us so we keep healthy. We continued to learn about Moses in RE.

The children also had their first maypole dancing lesson, learning how to skip in a circle whilst keeping the distance between each other the same. They did really well and soon we will be getting the ribbons out!

We finished the week with music compositions and ICT. Enjoy the long weekend Year 2, you have earned it.
