Y2 Friday 10th July 2026 – Looking Back & Forth
Looking back: Wow- what another hot week! This week, we have designed a model castle in Design Technology, written non – chronological reports about castles and performed a musical piece as a class. We also said farewell to our friends from Elizabethfontein.
Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- My highlight was the assembly when we said goodbye to the Elizabethfontein children. X 4 chn
- I liked the ham sandwiches!
- I liked playing with my friend. X 3 chn
- My highlight was making my model castle.
- My highlight was everything. x 2 chn
- My highlight was racing my teacher x 2 chn
- My highlight was seeing my friends have fun and seeing my teacher.
- My highlight was working with my partner because they are kind.
- My highlight was seeing everyone in my class and the adults.
- My highlight was computing because it was fun. X 2 chn

Next week we will be our last week together. Please discuss how children are feeling about making the transition to Year 3. Do let me know if they have any questions or concerns.
Looking forward:
Next week is the last week of the school year. We will be looking back on our time together in Year 2 and looking forward to Year 3. We will also be visiting Holmes Chapel Zoo and Bidlea Dairy.
PE is on Friday. Please ensure school PE kit is worn.
