Y2 Friday 17th October 2025– Looking Back & Forth

Looking back: 

We had lots of fun this week making our sculptures and collaging. We have also been busy publishing our writing for Exhibition and have continued to learn songs to perform next week.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

• I enjoyed writing poems for Exhibition.
• My highlight was PE using teamwork.
• My highlight was looking at the pictures in The Incredible Book Eating Boy
• My highlight of the week was listening to other people’s ideas
• My highlight was getting my letter ready for Exhibition.
• My highlight was everything!!!

Looking forward:

Next week is Exhibition time!!  We will be visiting the Exhibition to look at all the amazing work from across the school. We will also be performing the songs we have been learning in the Infant Playground at 2.45pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Reminders

Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.

PE is on Fridays. Please ensure school PE kit is worn.

Please continue to read every night as this underpins so much learning in Year 2. For every consecutive 14 days of reading, children will receive 10 house points and see their face on the ‘Reading Challenge Wall of Fame’. Well done to the 6 children who completed the challenge this week.
