Y2 Friday 17th July 2026 – Looking Back & Forth

Looking back:  What an amazing year we have had this year! The time really has flown by! This week we have been saying goodbye to Year 2 and looking forward to Year 3.

A huge thank you from all of the adults in the Year 2 team for our lovely gifts and cards.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights of the Year:

  • My highlight of the year was seeing Mr. Warhurst x 4 chn
  • My highlight of the year was all the learning was fun.
  • My highlight was being the oldest class in the Infants.
  • My highlight was seeing my friends and playing nicely with them x 2chn
  • My highlight of the year was seeing my teachers and playing with my friends. X 2 chn
  • My highlight of the year was making a Castle and Sun painting and learning about Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Marie Curie
  • My highlight was learning my times tables
  • My highlight was everything! x 2chn
  • My highlight of the year was learning about The Great Fire of London

 

Family discussion questions:

The Exhibition next year is titled “Journeys”. Children have had information about holiday homework linked to this theme- discuss as a family any ideas you have for this homework.

Looking forward: The children are excited to work with their new teacher, Key Stage 2 playtimes and learning lots next year.
