Family discussion questions:
This half term we will be learning about fractions- discuss as a family when you might use fractions in real life at home. Can your child find you half of something? Can you spot any fractions around you when you are out and about eg a ½ price sale sign in shops.
Looking forward:
Next week will be looking at the features of persuasive letters in English and in maths we will be investigating unit and non unit fractions. In science, we will be exploring what seeds need to germinate.
PE is on Tuesdays! Please ensure school PE kit is worn.
Reading books are changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
Please continue to read every night as this underpins so much learning in Year 2. For every consecutive 14 days of reading the children will receive 10 house points and see their face on the ‘Reading Challenge Wall of Fame’. Please record when you read with your child in their reading diaries so we can track their progress and see who has completed the challenge this term!
Have a great week,
Mr Warhurst
