Y2 Friday 3rd July 2026 – Looking Back & Forth

Looking back: This week we have written recounts about exciting events that have happened recently. In maths,we have investigated patterns involving turns. We have also spent time with the Elizabethfontein children and found out about life in their school.

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

My highlight was eating lunch with the Elizabethfontein children and teachers.
My highlight was seeing Year 2 have fun and seeing my funny teacher.

Looking forward:

Next week we will be writing a non-chronological report about castles, revisiting addition and subtraction in maths and creating digital art in Computing.

PE is on Fridays. Please ensure school PE kit is worn.

Reading books are changed on Tuesdays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.

Please continue to read every night as this underpins so much learning in Year 2. For every consecutive 14 days of reading the children will receive 10 house points and see their face on the ‘Reading Challenge Wall of Fame’. Well done to the 3 children that completed the challenge again this week.
