Y2 Friday 11th July 2025 – Looking Back & Forth
Looking back: This week we have published our writing, compared the weather in Goostrey and Clanwilliam and discussed the painting Tiger in a Tropical Storm by Henri Rousseau.
Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- I liked writing about The Tiger in a Tropical Storm.
- I liked playing with my friends. X 15 chn
- I liked playing Tag with my friends.
- My favourite thing was practising partitioning.
- My highlight of the week was making Bug Hotels.
- My highlight of the week was visiting the Juniors for assembly and playtime.
- I liked playing football with my new friend
- I liked talking to new people in my class x 2 chn
- My highlight of the week was painting Castle and Sun

Next week we will be our last week together. Please discuss how children are feeling about making the transition to Year 3. Do let me know if they have any questions or concerns.
Looking forward:
Next week is the last week of the school year. We will be looking back on our time together in Year 2 and looking forward to Year 3.
We have an extra PE session on Tuesday and PE on Friday. Please ensure school PE kit is worn.
Reading books will be collected on Monday. Please return all reading books to school this week Thank you.
