🔙 Looking Back – This Week in Year 4
It’s been another busy and creative week in Year 4!
The children completed their twisted narrative endings—with surprising results! Poor Red Riding Hood didn’t make it in most versions, and the woodcutter… well, he wasn’t quite the hero we’ve come to expect!
In maths, we’ve been focusing on decimals, especially tenths and hundredths, developing our understanding through maths exercises.
In science, we explored the different types of teeth. Try asking your child at home:
- What is an incisor?
- What is a molar?
- What is a canine?
- What is a pre-molar?
Also a maths question....
- What happens when you divide a number by 10?

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up:
- In science, we’ll be investigating animal teeth and how they’re adapted for different diets.
- In art, the children will create a Warhol-style triptych, exploring bold colours and repetition.
- In music, we’ll be discovering the instruments and characters in Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev.

- 📚 Reading – At least 15 minutes daily
