Year 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 9th May 2025
Great news we have retained the star class in P.E. cup for the second week!
Friday 9th May – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the class have yet again amazed, dazzled, stupefied and flabbergasted us, with their keenness and focus. We had a visitor in school this week, who spent time in our maths lesson as well as chatting to some of the class about school. She was impressed by their hard working attitude, good thinking skills and exceptional politeness. Needless to say, marbles have been aplenty!
The class have been looking at improper fractions and mixed numbers and the relationships between them in maths. In English, the witch has given us a challenge to write some twisted happy endings to traditional stories. The class seemed quite keen to take on the challenge.
Questions to ask at home -
- What is a proper fraction?
- What is a mixed number?
- What is a denominator?
- What is a numerator?
- What is an improper fraction?
- What is an integer?
Children’s highlights of the week
