Year 4 we 5th October

Hi All,

Week 5 -  The children worked hard this week and had lots of highlights;  The National Arboretum visit, swimming at Sandbach, creating animations with Mrs Cooper (all will be revealed), timestables with Mrs Saxton, Creating powerpoints about the countries from the Global Peace Index, the Mental Arithmetic test and watching the news on Newsround.

Next week we will be continuing our work on biographies about people who have won the Nobel Peace Prize.  We have begun a biography of Malala Yousafzai, the youngest person to be awarded the prize. 

In maths, the children will be working on column subtraction.  We will then move onto working on multiplication and division of larger numbers.

In the afternoons we will be continuing our work on ‘Peaceful places’ this week we will use our countries from the Global Peace Index and find out the geography of these countries.  We will be continuing with our animations and preparing work for the Exhibition/
