Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 23rd March 2018

Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 23rd March 2018

Our last full week of the spring term is now behind us: only four days to go until the Easter break.

It's been another busy time for us in Year 6, with a little more focus on our writing.  We have looked at how an author creates atmosphere with setting and dialogue this week using a wonderful extract about a young girl called Isabella and her Da.  We then focused on a poem by Charles Causley (see questions for further detail).  The pupils have been busy creating diary entries based upon this poem.

With Mrs. Cowell, the Year 6 have begun their studies about The Titanic and are also busy compiling their first texts based upon this fantastic topic.  Their hat designs continue apace, as well as their knowledge of religions and music.

Friday saw the pupils enjoy their mile around the field for Sport Relief - thankfully the weather stayed fine.

Thank you for another great week.
