Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 11th September 2026
Year 6 – Looking Back and Forth – Friday 11th September 2026
Looking Back
Our first full week in Year 6 has been amazing – we have begun our “journey” aboard The Endurance and we are now all crew members under Shackleton’s guidance. In maths, we are working with numbers up to 10,000,000 and refining our place value knowledge. The afternoons have seen us working to collect leaves from the field, and classify these using decision trees, alongside introductions to hats and lacrosse (though not together). There are a few photos on our “Display work items” tab to show what we've been enjoying. We are now settling into our roles as the eldest class and are already looking forward to new and exciting chapters in Year 6.
Thank you for attending our “Welcome to Year 6” meeting – for those who were unable to make this, a paper copy of the slides was passed to your child on Friday. We are excited to be working with you during 2026-2027.
