Year 6 – Looking Back and Forth – Friday 18th September

Looking Back

A busy week has passed us by and we are really getting into the swing of life in Year 6. We have been busy researching our crew members for our Endurance voyage and place value has been practised to prepare us for the maths curriculum ahead.  We have all been able to log into our new Spelling Shed website - we'll send more details about this in the coming weeks. In the afternoons, we have been introduced to ‘Blooket’; we are looking at ‘pilgrimage’; we are considering our special places; and we enjoyed seeing the beautiful owls on Thursday. It’s been a great week and our marble jar is already half full.  A great start to Year 6 - why not check out our photos on our gallery page.

Please note that on Monday 28th September, Year 6 will be enjoying an afternoon of Forest School.  Pupils should come to school dressed for outdoor activities, including wellington boots, or sturdy shoes, but also a change of footwear so that they don’t trample mud into school when they return to class.  Please also ensure that they have a warm coat – possibly waterproof if the weather is inclement.
