Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 2nd October 2026

Year 6 – Looking Back and Forth – Friday 2nd October 2026

Looking Back

We enjoyed a fabulous start to the week with sunny weather and a special afternoon experience with our buddies, enjoying Forest School.  It has been so lovely to see how quickly our Year 6 have settled to looking after their young charges.  Their bonds are established and growing well. Our biographies about our crew members have been completed during English and in maths, we have revised numbers such as prime numbers, negative numbers, common multiples and common factors.  With Mrs Cowell, we have studied The Antarctic and have begun to consider the conditions which the crew endured. We have looked at how scientists continue to live, and work, in such remote places.  Thursday saw us continue our artwork on ‘our feet’ – some of our weekly photos will give you an idea! Friday meant that we were able to enjoy lacrosse with Mrs Murdock – it’s wonderful to see the excitement when the pupils catch the ball in their lacrosse sticks.

Today, we issued details about our Year 6 residential – please double-check your child’s bag, and the emails, for further details of dates, payment schedules and information.
