Yr 4 Friday 19th July - Looking Back and Forth

Friday 19th July 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4

Looking back:

This week we have had lots of different activities in class.  We learned about Nelson Mandela’s life and created mini biographies on Mandela day (Thursday).  We also learned about the Moon landing on Friday to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the Eagle landing on the Moon.

In our work about Ancient Egypt, we learnt about cartouches and hieroglyphs.  We  had a great time listening to Asa’s dad (our resident expert on Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs).  It was fantastic and we learned so much about the Egyptian Emojiis!
