Yr 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 3rd May

Friday 3rd May – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4

Looking back:

This week, the class have been looking at twisted fairy tales, the ones where the good character ALWAYS comes to a sticky end.  We have explored good characters and bad characters and how they act in stories.  We have explored the dialogue between these characters.  In maths, we have been looking at conversions with improper fractions and mixed numbers.

Questions to ask at home  -

  • How do you convert an improper fraction to a mixed number?
  • How do you convert a mixed number to an improper fraction?
  • What is a twisted narrative?
  • What are inverted commas?
  • Where do you use them?
