Yr1 Looking Back & Forth 13.2.26
What a great last week of term we have had in Year 1!
Looking back:
- we wrote our finding stories in English and Miss Wood was so proud of how much progress we have made with our writing this term. We blew her socks off!
- We learnt two new phonics sound 'a' and 'i' - these make the long vowel sounds.
Highlights:
- We enjoyed learning about the equator and why the North and South Poles are so cold.
- We had a fun Friday afternoon as part of our marble jar treat - this was for working so heard this term.
Looking forward:
- After half term we will start our new writing unit! This is based on the book 'Hermelin' the detective mouse.
- We will continue to look at addition and subtraction to 20 in maths.
- We will start our new science unit and learn about all things leaves!
- In history, we will be learning about types of transport - in particular how we could get to the moon!
Have a lovely half term.
Miss Wood.
