YR1 Looking Back & Forth 27.3.26

We have had a lovely last week of term.

Looking back:

  • We wrote our own detective narratives in English. We worked so hard!
  • We completed our place value within 50 unit in maths.
  • We learnt about mammals, amphibians and reptiles in science.
  • We started to look at Neil Armstrong.

HIghlights:

  • We enjoyed making cards for Easter using collage and water colour paints.
  • We enjoyed learning about different groups of animals in science.
  • We used beautiful handwriting in our English writing.

Looking forward:

  • After Easter, we will start our new story in English: Where The Wild Things Are.
  • We will learn about length in maths and start to measure objects in our classroom.
  • We will start to look at drawing in art.
  • We will continue our science and history topics from last term.

Questions to ask at home:

  • How do you know that an animal is a mammal?
  • What is an adverb of time?
  • Who is Neil Armstrong and what was he famous for?

Have a lovely Easter everyone!
